About

MASSIVE is a line of gay manga-inspired apparel and goods brought to you by writer/producer Anne Ishii and filmmaker/designer Graham Kolbeins. MASSIVE directly collaborates with legendary gay Japanese comics artists including Gengoroh Tagame and Jiraiya to bring their work to new audiences and new forms.

In addition to clothing, MASSIVE produces original and translated books, including the first English-language collection of Gengoroh Tagame's manga for PictureBox, The Passion of Gengoroh Tagame, and Fantagraphics' upcoming omnibus, Massive: Gay Erotic Manga and the Men Who Make It (both designed by Chip Kidd). MASSIVE's latest publication is the uproarious pre-historic comic Caveman Guu by Jiraiya, the mangaka's first work specifically for an international audience.

MASSIVE is available at Opening Ceremony. For LGBT Pride 2014, the two brands collaborated on a capsule collection called MASSIVE for Opening Ceremony which includes shirts, muscle tees, a sweatshirt, towel, shorts, and a Tenga "double hole cup" sex toy, all featuring the artwork of Jiraiya.

Past festival appearances include Printed Matter's Los Angeles Art Book Fair, the Toronto Comic Arts Festival, Chicago Alternative Comics Expo, Bent-Con and San Diego Comic-Con.
